The station was expanded by adding the fifth unit with a capacity of (311 MW), bringing the total capacity of the station to (935 MW) in December 1990.
Date created :
The station was established in March 1983, in addition to the gas unit with a capacity of (24 MW) for operating the station in the event of its disconnection from the network.
The station was expanded by adding the fifth unit with a capacity of (311 MW), bringing the total capacity of the station to (935 MW) in December 1990.
What distinguishes the station?
The station relies on itself to produce chlorine used for injection at the entrance to the main cooling pumps to get rid of marine organisms through two chlorine production units, one of which began production after a replacement and renovation process during the year 2014 AD.
The station relies on the production of hydrogen used to cool generators through two production units, and the surplus is exported to the West Delta Company when needed.
