Our Project
The third phase of the third metro line extends for a length of 17.7 km and includes 15 stations from Ataba station to Kit Kat Square, branching north to the Imbaba area, reaching the ring road, and a branch south to Mohandiseen and Boulaq al-Dakrour, passing through Wadi al-Nil and Arab League streets, then extending to Cairo University. It was implemented in three parts, and the first part, with a length of 4 km and 4 subway stations, was opened in October 2022. Through its opening, the exchange of passenger transport services between the third and first lines of the metro was achieved.
The third metro line is considered the first transverse artery to connect the east and west of Greater Cairo, as it extends 41.2 km long, and it is the link between all components of the electric traction railway network (the subway network - the monorail lines - the light electric train), as it exchanges passenger transport service with the first line in Nasser Station and with the second line at Ataba and Cairo University stations and with the light electric train at Adly Mansour Central Station, and it is integrated with the East Nile Monorail at the Stadium Station and with the West Nile Monorail at the Nile Valley Station. This line also includes a workshop on an area of 65 acres equipped to store trains. With a capacity of 30 trains.
